Microplastics: They’re Everywhere…What Does that Mean?

There is a lot of buzz about microplastics these days, including some scary headlines. What are they, where are they, where do they come from, what happens to them in the environment, and what they do to the organisms that they interact with? Do laboratory studies reflect what is going on in the environment?

Join us for a Special Program hosted

Kansas Connection to Microplastics
with
Dr. Judith Weis,
Professor Emerita of Biological Sciences
at Rutgers University
6:45 PM – Social time
7:00 PM – Program/Zoom meeting

Here in Kansas, we have volunteers working hard to reduce the amount of single-use plastics. Learn what you can do personally, beyond the usual recycling, to reduce the amount of microplastics released into the environment.

Join the Zoom call at 6:45 for some virtual social time. The program will begin at 7:00 pm. RSVP on the Chapter Calendar to receive the Zoom link.
